Why are Mammut products so underrated?

I can’t find any good reviews on stuff and the apparel never seems to make any top 5 lists. Only the ropes get good reviews.
Top Comment: The Mammut Barryvox is widely recognized as the best avalanche beacon money can buy and all their other ski/ avvy gear (airbag packs, shovels etc) are very good. Maybe it’s just that in the US market BD/Patagucci etc take up most of the ad space and there’s nothing particularly innovative or unique about most of their apparel and packs, but the same could be said about almost any other outdoor brand. I’ve found that different companies make a few fantastic products, but mostly they’re pretty mediocre so it’s always better to buy the gear that suits your needs best that to be a brand fanboy.
